I used to be a big fan of TBN, for those of you who do not know what that is
it is a television station, a “Christian network”. I have not watched TBN in a
very long time, I have friends who watch the station and feel I have somehow
left God because I no longer watch that station or go to their churches, on the
the contrary I have not left God, I have seen Him in a whole new way and it
is in the way I am suppose to see and know him. So for those of you who have
the pride to think you know what is best for me or the pride to think I have gone
astray and your way is the only way, then here is my answer to all of you. I no
longer believe in the way that you do things because I still the homeless without
a home while your “church building” gets bigger and more expensive. I still the
the hungry are still hungry while you are having to release the loops on your belt.
I still a nation who was suppose to be built of the freedom to serve Jesus who
have never heard of Jesus, I see you keep more cars than you can drive, more
houses than you can possible live in, more, more, more. I find that you are serving
self more than serving Jesus, I know that God wants us to have nice things but at
I don’t believe he meant that to be at the expense of letting others starve or go with
out the basic human needs. Just because you show up at a building on every time the
doors are open doesn’t mean that you are serving Jesus, some of you are just showing
up and some of you really believe that you are doing what God wants of you, and some
of you know that you are not but don’t have the heart or guts to stand up and make a
stand. There truly will be a day of accountability which of you can honestly stand
before God and say you KNOW you were doing HIS will. So I ask who has really missed it here.

How Do Strangers Rate...?
I talk with a lot of people and I listen to even more, I hear them on my job, in the stores, listen to them when I am getting my pedicures, while I am shopping and even within my own family. I am state if questioning, because I don't know how it is that people will listen to the advice or guidance of a complete stranger over someone they know and know that they can trust. When it comes to making some of the most important decisions in their lives, they will tell a stranger what they are up against and take the advice of that stranger, whether it be someone they just met on their job, in a bank or those who will even get on the phone to consult a psychic. People who know nothing about you and probably shouldn't know anything about you. I have to wonder what is going in the minds of people these days, I have a lot of questions however, when I ask I get,"I don't know." Of course for me that just leads to many more questions that I am sure I will get a resounding I don't know. If you don't know why you take the guidance from a complete stranger over those who truly know you and you know that you can trust, then how competent are you to make the rest of your decision in your life. Miss Cleo of the psychic network is a crook, the girl doing you feet only sees you once or maybe twice a month, what is up with people, When you run to strangers before you run to God, before you run to those who he put in your life then is it any wonder our nation is as messed up as it is. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and then everything else follows.....goodnight.

Cost or Consequences
I know that this is not going to be a popular blog this evening but it is what the Lord has placed on my heart. I hear many "christians" complain that they have paid a "price" and not to question them because of this "price that they have paid". I find this really disheartening because what they call paying a price is not a price at all. Let's first get an understanding of what this cost/price is. Luke 14:28For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Jesus was teaching this to the disciples and he makes it very clear that you are not going to go and just start building a tower without first adding up the cost of supplies, labor, and also counting in the cost of what mishaps that may take place. Meaning this is a well thought out, thought about plan of action. Today many jump into the ministry and they don't have the first clue of "paying a price", they have not added up the cost of being in the ministry because they have not suffered the cost, nor have they the intentions of suffering the cost, I venture to say that we have made it far to easy to stand behind the pulpit as well as deceiving. What todays "christians" call paying the price is not the cross that you take up to follow Christ, Paul said in Gal.6:17 From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul underwent beatings, floggings, being run out of town, went hungry because of the gospel of this good news that he was preaching. That is a cost, a price being paid. Jesus paid a price, it was His life. What people are calling a price is not a cost at all but the consequences of a decision that they made in their lives. Paying a price means something you are giving up or suffering for following after Jesus Christ, it is not an excuse from a bad decision giving reasons why you have a right to stand behind a pulpit and preach, why you have suffered so much when in reality you have not been suffering you been enjoying acts of life which have nothing to do with christ and the consequences of those actions. Have a wonderful and Blessed evening, Your sis, Jerri.

Call and Election
Hello All,
I have gone through a spell with my writing a love/hate thing for about two years but since everyone has something to post and I find that what they are posting can sometimes be in error, sometimes it is a legit error and sometimes we humans can be so full of pride that we like to toot our own horn but really miss it. Peter Mentions making sure of your call and election in 2 Peter 2:10 unfortunately many get these confused, for we know that many are called but few are chosen. The best explanation for this is in the history lesson of Saul and David. Saul was indeed the King of Israel he heard the call of the people and answered however, God called and elected David to be King, he had the prophet Samuel anoint him king even though it took another 40 years before David ruled the people. I find it interesting the people who stand behind the pulpits or the "prophets & prophetesses" of our day and I am sorely disappointed for they are missing it most of the time and leading people in a direction that God has not proclaimed. God's word does not change no matter how they try to twist it around or say that in this day and age things are different, this day may be different to this age however there is nothing new under the sun and we can not change God's word to excuse ourselves for our misdeeds or pride. Many are called but few are chosen. Make sure of your call and your election. God Bless you and keep you.....Jerri
