I know that this is not going to be a popular blog this evening but it is what the Lord has placed on my heart. I hear many "christians" complain that they have paid a "price" and not to question them because of this "price that they have paid". I find this really disheartening because what they call paying a price is not a price at all. Let's first get an understanding of what this cost/price is. Luke 14:28For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Jesus was teaching this to the disciples and he makes it very clear that you are not going to go and just start building a tower without first adding up the cost of supplies, labor, and also counting in the cost of what mishaps that may take place. Meaning this is a well thought out, thought about plan of action. Today many jump into the ministry and they don't have the first clue of "paying a price", they have not added up the cost of being in the ministry because they have not suffered the cost, nor have they the intentions of suffering the cost, I venture to say that we have made it far to easy to stand behind the pulpit as well as deceiving. What todays "christians" call paying the price is not the cross that you take up to follow Christ, Paul said in Gal.6:17 From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul underwent beatings, floggings, being run out of town, went hungry because of the gospel of this good news that he was preaching. That is a cost, a price being paid. Jesus paid a price, it was His life. What people are calling a price is not a cost at all but the consequences of a decision that they made in their lives. Paying a price means something you are giving up or suffering for following after Jesus Christ, it is not an excuse from a bad decision giving reasons why you have a right to stand behind a pulpit and preach, why you have suffered so much when in reality you have not been suffering you been enjoying acts of life which have nothing to do with christ and the consequences of those actions. Have a wonderful and Blessed evening, Your sis, Jerri.

Makes me question, if you had to endure beatings and ridicule would you still choose Christ.
